Rumination on “Demolition Man”

The great Sylvester Stallone/Wesley Snipes movie “Demolition Man” is making its way around on cable.

There’s a lot of great political satire and some now amazingly prescient predictions on technology.

The most frighteningly accurate predictions may be, however, those that are cultural. If you want to know what our future may be like, if the current generation of aggressive precious snowflakes in college don’t change their ways yet ascend to leadership positions, feast your eyes upon “Demolition Man”’s surveillance state-overseen, Big Mother-controlled, politically correct, nonviolent, hyperpassive, lacking-in-self-esteem sheeple of Dr. Cocteau’s San Angeles.

That is the state that Democrats/liberals/socialists want to erect and we’re already half way there with them in charge of the culture, education, media and much of the political high ground. It’s only going to get worse unless we have a few John Spartans step up.

I doubt this movie could be made today.
