Misunderestimating the Enemy

Many conservatives are ecstatic that Donald Trump consistently outplays the socialist party (i.e. the Democrats) and their media skirmishers.

They applauded his assertion that Obama had “tapped his wires,” many claiming this rendered the “Trump is a Putin puppet” and “Russia hacked the election” memes moot.

Just this week there’s talk that Rachel Madcow’s “exposure” of Trump’s tax returns from 2005 now washes the “Trump & Taxes” meme away because the returns don’t show anything negative (begging the question why Madcow breathlessly pimped these things — did she not understand them? Very possibly.) Some have even suggested that Trump himself may have done it just to neutralize the issue.

The problem with these angles is that they rely on the public comprehending the points and following the argument. In other words, it relies on a “rationality.”

This works fine on conservative websites with knowledgeable readers but your average person, reliant on getting the information from, or rather filtered by, the lamestream media, the propaganda arm of the socialist party.

It also relies on the dubious point that the media is rational and cannot ignore particular details of the story.

If you don’t think the media can peddle two conflicting narratives at the same time, you haven’t been paying attention for the last few decades. The Democrat-Media Complex can easily trot out Trump=Russian Puppet narrative while burying or soft-peddling Obama administration wiretapping.I hear it all the time.

Didn’t you notice how the media managed to whitewash the Clinton email scandal — rarely, if ever, mentioning felonies, FOIA, Hillary’s endless contradictions and changing story, and more? How many major media stories did you see on the Clinton Foundation’s various scams? That number would be zero…

Remember the whole Scooter Libby farce?Reported from Day One exactly as the Democratic Party fed it to the media.

No, my friends, sadly, festering Black Plague stories can easily be buried by the MSM.

It is precisely because this threatens liberal icons and shibboleths that these stories are distorted or selectively reported.

What the public is hearing is Trump=Russian Puppet, Election=Hacked by Russia because that’s what they are being told by the media. The propagandists are not obligated to report the truth or facts that they don’t like. This morning on WTOP they easily skipped that the tax returns did not have any “gotchas” in it. They quickly and seamlessly focused on points such as Trump hasn’t released all of his returns and winked that there must be bad things in those others; these returns had to be “leaked“ (without even exploring on the illegality of such an act); and, everyone knows, that the public has demanded that Trump release his tax returns but he hasn’t.

WTOP featured some reporter from CBS News Radio who effortlessly danced around the facts and hammered on the “politics” of the issue, which he was confident were a loser for Trump. Trump is always a loser in the eyes of the media folks.

The end result is that much of the public, catching bits and pieces of a complicated issue, imbibes Trump & Taxes=Bad. They really don’t know why it’s bad, it just is because it was reported as so.

This is how the “free press” is working these days.

Similarly, over the weekend and this week was the “U.S. Attorneys” story. Talk about fake news.

WTOP radio giddily repeated the talking points handed out by the Democrats, with breathless whining that several of these attorneys were caught off-guard and were frantically trying to get their subordinates up to speed on cases (Um, WTOP, it is those lower level attorneys who are actually up to speed since they do the work). It was only the last sentence wherein the newsreader quietly mentioned that the replacement of U.S. Attorneys by incoming administrations wasn’t unusual.

So the media is in the job of reporting things that are not unusual, WTOP?

But at least WTOP mentioned the truth, most others left the typical citizen completely in the dark and thinking that the outrageous Trump had perpetuated another outrageous thing (because that’s what he does), maybe even another “Saturday Night Massacre.” That’s a bad thing.

Then there was the absurdity of someone like Preet Bharara and several other Obama admin leftovers implying they didn’t have to resign their posts, as if those jobs belonged to them for as long as they wanted them. That they served at the pleasure of the president was rarely ever pointed out and never the subject of any MSM treatment of the story.

Were these angles used when the incoming Obama administration began removing Bush-apppointed U.S. Attorneys? No. The last timed those angles were explored was when the incoming Bush administration began relieving Clinton holdovers. This is only a story when it’s a Republican administration.

Hey, MSM how about this story angle, “Power-Crazed Political Appointees From Previous Administration Refuse to Leave Offices”? It’s more accurate than what you went with.

If the media had any decency, ethics or shame they’d hang their heads in shame.

But that’s not the goal of this exercise in disinformation. The goal: the public hears Trump & U.S Attorneys=Bad.

Mission accomplished.

As we have learned time and time again, when it comes to the media and the socialist-controlled public culture facts don’t matter.

The Clintons have painfully taught us on numerous occasions — perception is all. Libtards understand this, conservatives by and large still don’t. They are too busy trying to win a debate with the facts and rationality, failing to understand that the media will distort the debate, pluck emotional strings, spin it in the Democrats’ favor and that is all most people will ever see.

Trump’s Triumph #2

I can always tell when a Republican does well — the media grumbles. It’s triply true with Donald Trump.

Wednesday morning there was much foot-shuffling and grumbling on CBS Radio as they grudgingly acknowledged that Pres. Trump’s speech to Congress on Tuesday night might have not been a complete disaster. They couldn’t even come up with any “gotchas” or “fact checks” to embarrass Trump.

The Democrats’ cheap attempts to humiliate Trump had failed miserably so CBS Radio simply didn’t mention them.

The best they could do was wheel out Chuck “Chuck U!” Schumer to whine that Trump talked about “bipartisanship” but he hadn’t taken any Democrat advice on anything. Chuck apparently missed that whole Obama “I won” and “I have a phone and a pen” approach to governance. Hey, Chuckles, you Dems were warned when King Barry told Republicans to “talk to the hand” that there would be payback when a Republican was elected. You chose to not rein Obama in. Payback’s a bitch! (And it couldn’t happen to a bigger bunch of assholes, too!)

Then they went to Bernie Sanders for sage advice. (There were no Republicans available for comment apparently.)

Bernie basically complained that Trump was cutting the free unicorn rides for children out of the budget. It’s a civil right!

And then they got around to the “response.” Delivered by former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear it was more like a student film set in a diner; but on the radio it was nothing more than a guy rambling about how great Obamacare is. Hey, Stevarino, a Republican was elected by the Kentucky voters in 2015 instead of the Obamacare-loving Democrat. That was a whole year ahead of the Trump wave. Kentucky was ahead of the curve. And then in November 2016 they sent record numbers of Republicans to the Kentucky state house.

Your state was devastated by Obama’s war on coal. What idiot thought it would be a good idea to haul out an ex-governor from a state that has thoroughly reputed Democrat leadership?

If that’s the best they can do…

Tim “Butt Hurt” Kaine Speaks

I caught one of my idiot senators on WTOP the other day. Tim “Butt Hurt” Kaine was whining that Pres. Trump was bad and a bigot and a meanie, etc. But what got me was his simple insistence that the Russians had “hacked” the election which caused Tim’s butt hurt (since he was expecting to be vice president at this point).

Now this question has become of interest to me lately. Pray, tell, Timmy, just how did the Russkies “hack” the election?

Because if you don’t have any evidence beyond them being involved in the releasing of the Dem. party emails that revealed Clinton campaign bigwigs and hangers-on as cynical cretins deserving their own special circle of hell then you ain’t got jack.

Are you implying that the cowboys in the Kremlin hacked some votes for Trump in Michigan, Pennsylvania or Wisconsin?

Because that’s the only “hack” that could make any electoral difference.

No?

Then STFU.

Oh, hey, Timbo, the Grinch wants his grin back.

(Of course WTOP’s anchors did not ask him to elaborate…)

CBS Radio News Fails, Again

On Thursday morning CBS Radio News demonstrated again why so many complain about media bias.

Concerning the story of left-wing anarcho-fascists rioting in Berkeley, Calif., and forcing the University of California to cancel a speech by Milo Yiannopoulos (after it had promised to have enough security to prevent such a happening), anchor Frank Settipani described Yiannopoulos as the (or an) editor of the “ultra right-wing website Breitbart.”

Frank, have you ever uttered the term “ultra left-wing”? Like maybe in describing the rioters?

I’d hazard to answer that’s a no.

And that’s part of the problem with the media, most of them don’t see anyone to their left.

Oh, and here’s one of CNN’s contributions afterward, “Milo Yiannopoulos Is Trying to Convince Colleges that Hate Speech Is Cool.”

You see, in their eyes, it was all Milo’s fault that the protestors had to get out of bed or put down their bongs to go riot and stop him from speaking. He deserved to be shut down.

And the media wonders why it is so reviled…

CBS Radio News Goes There

You knew it was probably just a matter of time before one or more of the titans of the American news media would make the charge.

In Wednesday morning’s 8 a.m. segment, CBS Radio News declared the maniac who killed a half-dozen people at a Canadian mosque as a Trump supporter.

I was busy getting ready for work but I believe I heard Frank Settipani say killer, Alexandre Bissonnette, had expressed support for Trump online.

However, they failed to mention that this kid is a useless-degree sociology student and a product of the modern hypersensitive special snowflake academic culture.

Interestingly, CBS Radio News, like its other media brethren, was slow as cold molasses in labeling Muslim terrorist mass killers such as those in San Bernardino and Orlando as Muslim. “We don’t want to rush to judgment or prejudice anyone,” they said in their defense. Hhhhmmmmmm.

They also had no hesitation about labeling Dylann Roof as a right-winger and Confederate-sympathizer after his spree. Am I seeing a pattern here?

Don Beyer – Hack Representative

Given the choice between doing his Constitutional, Congressional and traditional duty of representing his constituents in an important Constitutional and historical process or being a rank Democratic Party hack flunkee, my Congressional representative, Don Beyer, chose the latter by saying he would “boycott” the Trump presidential inauguration.

He lamely whined that The Donald insulted women during the campaign. Apparently Hillary Clinton’s insults fell on his deaf ears.

It’s all part of the Dems’ plan to delegitimize Trump, making their increasingly antidemocratic activities more acceptable. If there’s a party that would attempt a coup, it is the Democrats. Be forewarned and forearmed.

These groups have been aided by, at least two local schools, The American University and Georgetown University. Both have allowed groups openly planning to “disrupt” the inaugural to use their facilities to plan and organize their possibly illegal activities. The American University even went so far as to ban reporters from covering these nefarious activities (not that the reporters would have reported anything negative), by claiming that a “media review” hadn’t been “completed.” For some inexplicable reason Washington reporters never tramp onto the Georgetown campus though several went there as undergrads.

In other Washington inauguration news, the local radio news station in Washington, WTOP, merrily sputters along seemingly guided now only by talking points issued by the Democratic National Committee (usually via the Washington Post, New York Times or Associated Press).

Today they seemed to feature more stories about people protesting or planning to disrupt the inaugural than straight stories about the inaugural itself. And the reporters certainly did not offer any judgments on such folks. They were treated as if they were merely visiting to take in the Smithsonian or the Lincoln Memorial. One of them even insisted that they would not accept democratic electoral results that they did not like. The reporter didn’t bat an eye, metaphorically, or even pursue the point; such is the leftist lean of the media that the position doesn’t raise an eyebrow.

Of course, when it was reversed and King Barry I was being sworn in, it was all sweetness and light about how many wonderful people were traveling from the hinterlands for the “historic” events. The possibility that anyone would protest, much less try to disrupt them, was so far from the mind as to be science fiction. Anyone making such a threat would have been cast beyond civilized society.

Ah, but that was different!

Now disruption and dissent are once again the greatest forms of patriotism! (This just a few months after leftists insisted that those not in full obeisance to The One were actual traitors. ‘You can look it up in the Constitution,’ they’d cluck).

Out of the Mobs of Babes

We’ve been hearing tales of how college campuses across the country have descended into swamps of depression after the election. These stories, all very similar, actually seem to be parodies. Someone accurately described it as “mass hysteria.” But I’m not here to chronicle that nonsense.

It seems that our high schools have taken up the challenge to be just as unserious as colleges by “walking out” in protest of the election of Donald Trump. Can you imagine the heap o’ trouble any kids would have been in if they had walked out of class on the election of Barack Obama? Yeah, they’d be on a few lists…

The arrogance of these kids boggles the mind. But they’ve been coddled and spoiled all their short lives and told how amazingly smart they are. Surprise, bad parents, these kids believed you. And you can bet that when you get old and they don’t see any further need for you, they’ll commit you to a home, if they don’t slip some “end-of-life” drug into your organic, gluten-free almond milk. You’ve created a generation of budding monsters who throw temper tantrums when something doesn’t go their way (and they expect EVERYTHING to go their way). I hear they like brown shirts.

So here they are in action. Amazingly this is from an MSM outlet that’s been running nonstop anti-Trump news — “Trump supporter, 15, beaten during Rockville protest.”

In salute I offer this Top 10 list of signs seen at these high school anti-Trump “rallies”:
