The Susan Rice Story: Crickets and Squirrels

Last weekend it broke that former Obama apparatchik Susan Rice apparently spent 2016 and the transition period collecting classified intel on Donald Trump and his campaign/transition staffs. For exactly what purposes is unclear. Rice’s responses have been of the “You can’t prove it, I didn’t leak it and It wasn’t illegal” variety.

You might recall Ms. Rice, was the chief disinformation dispenser for the Benghazi cluster-eff.

This was a follow-on to the Evelyn Farkas fark-up, adding fuel to the fire that there was vast, Obama administration-wide conspiracy to gather and distribute classified surveillance intelligence that could be portrayed as embarrassing to Trump and his people.

An interesting sidelight about this bombshell of a story is its coverage or lack thereof. It broke last weekend yet, somehow, the major media, those great guys and gals that cover every utterance of Trump and so many Republicans, have helpfully relayed the “Trump is a Putin puppet” meme slavishly almost every hour of every day since it surfaced last year, have yet to get to the story, and I write this Thursday night.

Wait, I tell a lie. There have been a couple of odd stories about Susan Rice issuing mysterious denials concerning something that is entirely legal and hardly anything at all… The inestimable Mollie Hemingway has a great piece here.

The Farkas revelations too have been ignored.

Ahem…

Yeah, no media bias here… move along.

Obviously, the MSM is waiting for their cues from the DNC, via the New York Times, Washington Post and AP — all of which have turned a blind eye to a story that if it was committed by a Republican would be 24/7 news.

Eventually we’ll see a few dimwitted Dem parrots… er… politicians will chime in reinforcing the anointed meme. Clearly the DNC hasn’t figured out the angle yet.

Question, if the MSM doesn’t cover something, is it still news? (Their answer is ‘No.’)

We’re Farked!

It seems now that Evelyn “Park Yer” Farkas is desperately walking back her claims on MSNBC to have been involved in an anti-Trump classified intelligence distribution network that existed in the late Obama administration; and kicked into overdrive during its dying days to distribute (leak) the info to the MSM before they were kicked out of the White House.

The story has been essentially ignored by the major media but that didn’t stop Farkas from issuing a denial, claiming that she didn’t say what she clearly said. She described her MSNBC excerpt as being a “strange” and “edited” video that she didn’t recognize. Next she’ll be insisting that she was drugged, it was a pod person, a human robot created by Persona Synthetics, a doppelganger that appeared on MSDNC…er, MSNBC.

Obviously someone got to her and pointed out that she had just laid out a vast (illegal) conspiracy that she eagerly participated in.

Even worse, from the view of Democrats and the MSM, she validated Trump’s wiretapping claim. It’s hard to build a fake news meme when people on the side of the perpetrators confirm they were in league in instigating the very news that you are declaring is fake.

It’s reminiscent of the old Nixon-era Henry Kissinger quote, “Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.”

Farkas is the perfect specimen of the young highly-paid, politically-powerful, credentialed ninnies that proliferated throughout the Obama administration (Think Marie Harf). Arrogant, wholly lacking in experience, clueless and ignorant, they feel as if they have carte blanche because they are just so smart and so superior and so entitled to have power and to use it without consequence. These are the soldiers of the left-wing army deployed in conquest of total power. These are the people who will obediently, even gladly sign orders sending people with whom they disagree to reeducation camps and ultimately they’ll sign execution lists. They powered Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany, Red China, Khmer Rouge Cambodia, Castro’s Cuba… This new group has no historical knowledge of those eras and they don’t want any or care for any. They already know everything and they know what is best. Now get on that train car…

And This Guy Goes to Jail?

The Democrats and the media (one and the same) claimed another pair of Republican scalps with the conviction of former Chris Christie aides Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelly concerning traffic on a New Jersey bridge. Somehow Baroni and Kelly engineered for the New Jersey transpo people to realign some lanes on the bridge to cause chaos in retaliation for the local mayor’s refusal to endorse Christie’s run for governor.

Yes, monkey with traffic lanes — you know, kind of like what Democrat politicians do all the time when they want to cause chaos to press for more highway funds. “If we only had more (Federal) money we could fix these problems!”

But these were Republicans so the book was tossed at them.

However, my big point is that these two got actual jail time (he two years and she 18 months) for what was a messy political tug of war. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Crime Crew are still free despite committing several high crime felonies, notably the whole email server setup and then lying about it and then destroying evidence and then dissembling to investigators, etc…

Meanwhile, we have a steady state of leakage of classified (anti-Trump) information by Obama holdovers in the government and no one, at least in the Democratic Party or the media, benefiting from these leaks, is demanding investigations and then some hides in jail.

Then we get the Evelyn Farkas revelations that she was an (anti-Trump) information wrangler in the later days of the Obama administration. She had been a deputy assistant secretary of defense in the Obama administration (Oy!) until she left to join the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2015. So, after Hill was put down, Farkas (and others) apparently spent the interlude before Trump was inaugurated collecting and pushing dissemination of negative Trump info throughout Capitol Hill (and the media). Much, if not all of this information, was classified. Oddly, she was apparently, technically, unemployed at the time, yet had quite a bit of access to various intelligence agencies.

It’s wholly possible, and unclear from her MSNBC interview, that she may have been dealing in this classified information before the election and while still employed by the Clinton campaign. Imagine if this had been a Republican…

Farkas actually seems quite proud of what she did and completely oblivious that she looks to be confessing to a series of felonies and outlining a major Washington-based felony conspiracy that sounds like something out of a movie.

She perfectly characterizes the modern liberal’s belief that they are just so great, and their cause so pure that mere laws do not apply to them.

And they are all scot free…

Our Borg Left

Can there be any doubt that anything that the left touches becomes corrupted.

Here is a story about the nominally nonpartisan Committee to Protect Journalists. Now it has come out with a statement that Donald Trump is an unprecedented threat to press freedom though it insists that it’s not taking sides in the upcoming election. They said that with a straight face.

Seriously.

Admittedly any group of journalists is likely to be left-leaning and it is usually just a matter of time before it removes any pretense and just goes whole-hog into auxiliary service of the Democratic Party.

Interestingly, Hillary Clinton has her own plans to limit press freedoms. She wants to outlaw stories, movies, whatever, that paint politicians in a bad light.

CPJ seems to have missed that. Probably because most of their members decided not to report negative stories about Hillary Clinton.

And then there’s this piece about our wonderful public education system, which was drafted into service of the Democratic Party a long time ago.

I guess the surprising thing about this “letter” drafted by several “Teachers of the Year” is that they hadn’t done this before.

They certainly don’t hold back, pretty much equating Trump with the most heinous villains in history.

They also trot out lots of perfect moppet anecdotes of fear with tots crying on cue, “Mr. Supersmawt teacher, why does that scawwy Donald Twump want to huwt me?”

Our humble teachers are taking this extraordinary step… to save the children (from the Abominable Trumble).

Remember back during the first Clinton interregnum when so much of their calumny (especially at the EPA) was committed “for the children.”

Of course all of this couched in the insufferability that the conceited teaching profession has polished to a high sheen. These people think a lot of themselves and little of anyone who thinks differently (i.e. isn’t a liberal). To think, these people are paid by the taxpayer that these teachers so loathe.

The public education system needs to be torn down, sown with salt and its braying donkey membership put to digging ditches or handing out sippy straws and butt pillows at the old folks home… er… retirement community – actual, productive jobs rather than the well-compensated, publicly-funded liberal propagandameisters that they are now.

I’m not the first to note that the left ruins everything it touches and turns those things into tools of liberal propaganda, coercion, cultural and political warfare. Anything that resists is targeted for destruction.

Like the Borg, you will be assimilated or destroyed. There is no refuge from them.

You’re Probably a Zombie…

at least in the eyes of liberals.

Victor Davis Hanson is probably the best socio-political commentator alive. He grasps the details and the big picture. His “The Construct of the White Working-Class Zombies” is a simple must read because I can’t say this any better than he can.

It Might Be Stupid but It Works

This is a good explication of the latest quadrennial, election year plea from a bunch of Hollywood celebrities to not elect the crazy, horrible, moronic, warmongering Republican candidate, with a strong implication that you won’t be cool like the celebrities if you vote for the Republican.

Most sane, reasonable people over a certain age laugh at these ham-fisted, smug efforts but they are effective to a certain extent. There are always hundreds of thousands of newly-minted voters (kids-Millennials) who have never seen anything like these “PSAs.

To most of us this is old and stupid and disingenuous. To an 18-year-old this might be, “I can share something with Scarlett Johansen and other cool, superior people…”

I have to say that I’m very disappointed in Robert Downey, Jr.’s participation in this. It was not long ago that he was making it clear that he understood that liberalism is not based on reality. I suspect he’s backsliding. It’s probably hard to be on a Hollywood set for hours on end, day-after-day with every major player, director, producer and screenwriter constantly mocking conservatives… You can imagine on the set of one of those Ironman movies ScarJo and Mark Ruffalo, both in these movies, are pecking on him, “C’mon, Bob, you don’t REALLY believe that backwards, racist, fascist Republican crap, do you? If you come over to our side I’ll show you my boobies…”

Joss Whedon is supposedly behind this and he insists that it’s a nonpartisan effort. Whedon’s long been embarrassed that his biggest fans of his biggest success — the “Firefly” projects — are conservatives and libertarians. He’s never seemed to grasp why “Firefly” was such a cult success.

The name of this particular campaign is “Save the Day” or “Save the Planet” or some other important-sounding bit of historicism — that always makes the kids feel important. And we can save the planet by electing a lying, felony-committing, incompetent, greedy, self-dealing, murder co-conspirator?

So what weird magic do the Clintons hold over Hollywood?

Is it their clearly free-swinging hedonism (at least when they were younger)?

Their obvious disdain for traditional mores?

Their unmitigated sense of self-indulgence and entitlement?

Their single-minded lust for power and riches?

Their pure cynicism and willingness to blatantly manipulate people?

Their 200-proof distilled hypocrisy in most everything they do?

Their easy-going willingness to toss aside former allies and eagerness to destroy anyone in their way?

Their unalloyed belief in the superiority of themselves and a conviction that laws do not apply to them nor constrain them?

Their allergy to truth and marriage to lying and living the lie?

Or is it simpler, just trying to promote the libtard mindset and that involves backing Hillary and anyone else in a Democratic pantsuit?

I vote all of the above.

And more folks, more movies and TV series to boycott. Didn’t a lot of these folks support Obama and tell us how great he was going to be?

Is Trump “Unqualified” to Be President?

That Donald Trump is “unqualified” to be president is the latest meme peddled by Democrats, their Republican allies and, of course, the Democratic parrots known as the mainstream media.

So is Donald Trump “unqualified” to be president?

Here’s the relevant language from a document called the United States Constitution. You might have heard of it.

Article II Section 1 Clause 5:
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Amendment XIV Section 1:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

Trump meets all those criteria so he is qualified to be president.

I’m sure there are some very clever folks, many of them with Ivy League degrees, who will play the semantics game. “That’s ‘eligibility’ not ‘qualified,’” they’ll cluck.

These will be the same people who voted for a wet-behind-the-ears senator with a nonexistent record as a state legislator, an undistinguished career as a part-time contract lecturer at a university, a checkered past as a “community organizer” and an even sketchier academic career. His only success looked to have been to write an autobiography before he had done anything. He was also good at guilting white liberals with his black skin.

These people are also backing a woman who should be on trial; should be disbarred; who has a past of numerous legal violations; has aided and abetted numerous other crimes of accomplices; had a disastrous period as Secretary of State; had an undistinguished career as a senator; lies with a rare abandon; has lived off the taxpayer much of her life; and enabled her husband’s numerous crimes and misdemeanors as president.

On the other hand, Trump can point to successfully building things, employing people and working with large corporations and local governments. One can also point to failing on some of his projects as well.

The semantictarians are using the rubric that Trump is not “temperamentally” suited to be president.

Again these are the same people who voted for a two-faced narcissist who kept much of his past hidden (with the able aid of the American news media’s willingness to turn a blind eye).

There is no cuddle factor requirement for the presidency. As for insulting various people and groups, Trump is not much more insulting than Obama. The difference is that Obama insults the right groups while Trump goes after politically and socially correct groups.

As for other elements of of disqualification, that he doesn’t know the name of some obscure foreign politician, well, Obama thought we had 57 states… Trump has also threatened to push around some nations while Obama cowers and apologizes. Bellicosity is not a disqualifier for the presidency. Until King Barry the Apologetic, many presidential candidates had made a strong foreign policy part of their campaign.

What I think is really the point is that Trump, for all his faults (and they are not insubstantial), is not part of the professional political coterie that populates the upper levels of both parties. To narrow this down further, it is a group of (often Ivy League-educated) lawyers and people who have done nothing in their life but live off of the taxpayer in a series of governmental and elected jobs. They have little to no experience in the private sector and what little they have is tied to the government in some way. They have done little to nothing in the way creating jobs, businesses or economic activity (they would vehemently disagree with that, thinking that government is the source of all). They have, in many ways, been parasites living off of the public all of their lives.

These are the so-called “political elites.”

Trump offers a stark contrast to these people. Say what you want, by and large, Trump has had to work with people to get his projects done. Unlike the professional politicians he has usually not been able to simply demand that something be done and it gets done through the power of the government hammer.

I actually like the idea of having someone outside of the cushy, comfortable political ecosphere occupy the White House for a little while. The elites need to be humbled and reminded of what they have and what they should be grateful for (rather than demand as an entitlement).

One last point. During the reign of King Barry the Malignant, people have, perhaps more than with any other president, absorbed the idea of the president as omnipowerful king. That’s one reason they are so edgy about a Trump presidency.

But a Trump presidency will not be the way they fear. He will be constrained, as a president should be. Perhaps he might even, in a case of opposite day, remind people of how limited and small the presidency can and should be.
